BATAS Foundation is a non-government, non-profit organization established in 2008. The Foundation aspire to build an empowered society where everyone is united and committed to work for their betterment. Thus the Foundation have been focusing on the field of education and skill training since the inception. After the Nepal’s earthquake of 25 April 2015, the Foundation has been largely involved in post-disaster management in affected districts mainly in Sindhupalchok, Nuwakot, Rasuwa and Kathmandu. Batas Foundation has provided earthquake relief support, winter relief kits, built Temporary Shelters and Temporary Learning Centers in these areas with the generous support and collaboration from Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW), an INGO.
In collaboration with IRW, Batas Foundation has made a lasting difference in 4 Districts, 27 VDCs, 19,597 Households, 1,04,138 Individuals, 75,878 Marginalized, 6,010 Elderly, 172 Left Alone or Orphans, 652 Differently Able, 2,100 Single Women or Female Headed Households, 694 Pregnant Women.
In collaboration with IRW, Batas Foudation has also provided 151 earthquake resilient permanent shelters in Rasuwa District of Nepal and has invested approx. USD 2.45 Million in overall Earthquake Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction.
